You have had a couple of roofers up on the ladder, and the numbers they came back with are miles apart. One says fifteen grand. Another is closer to thirty. - Roof size and pitch. A bigger roof is more material and more labour, which is obvious enough. A steeper pitch is less obvious but it matters, because steep roofs are slower and need more safety gear to work on.

Two quotes can look thousands apart and still be fair, because one includes things the other has left off. These are the items to check for before you sign anything:
